Amy Mayorga of Minimalista Organizing and Marie Kondo, founder of the KonMari Method

I am honored to have been trained by Marie Kondo’s team and certified in the KonMari Method® of organizing.

Meet Amy

Hi, I’m Amy Mayorga, founder of Minimalista Organizing®.

Previously, I worked as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist. After I became a mom, I decided I wanted to take some time to stay home with my children—but I found it very hard to relax at home. My home was cluttered with kid’s toys, clothes, and everything in between—there were things everywhere. Over time, my home had begun to make me feel overwhelmed and stressed, but I didn’t know where to start. I decided to go all-in and declutter our home after reading Marie Kondo’s book “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.”

The process was SO worth it. The effects spread far beyond my home to my health, to my schedule, to spending habits, and to a newfound passion in helping others reduce their overwhelm and discover the joy found in simplicity.

The passion I felt in helping others led me to become a Certified KonMari® Consultant in 2019, trained by Marie Kondo to help others declutter their homes. From there, Minimalista Organizing began. I have since built a team of other professional organizers who share this same passion. We love to help others organize and discover that you can truly find joy in your space. Let us help you reach your goals.

A few fun facts about me:

  • I am originally from Chicago and went to the University of Michigan for undergrad & Northwestern for grad school.

  • I am bilingual in Spanish and an active yogi.

  • I have three wonderful children ages 4, 7, and 9 who bring me so much joy

  • I aim to use sustainable methods in my work and in my daily life.

  • I organize and declutter on my time off too… I truly love it! You can follow along at my Instagram page, @minimalista.organizing

Meet Our Team

Jill

Jill was born in California, and spent most of her childhood in England—but we are happy she now calls Fort Worth her home. She has a Master’s Degree from the University of Denver and previously owned a deluxe pet hotel and daycare.  After eleven years she sold it to pursue her passion for home organizing. Jill is also a Certified KonMari® Consultant! She says that going through Marie Kondo’s process “shifted how I approach everything in my life- relationships, career, and my home…I can assure you everything can truly spark joy!”

Laura

Laura is a mom of 5 boys and resides in Irving. She sees the value of a streamlined organized space in her own life, and loves helping others discover this as well. After years of working in the healthcare field, Laura switched to organizing professionally. She loves decluttering and transforming spaces. Laura is an active member of her church community as well as a hands-on mom to her boys, some of whom are homeschooled.

Christina

Christina is the mother of two school-aged girls and recently moved to Southlake, TX. She is active in her girls’ school and in her church. Before becoming a mom, she was a Tax Manager at a worldwide accounting firm in London. Christina is a minimalist at heart and also an author. She has been organizing professionally for a number of years and enjoys helping others reduce their stress and create organized spaces.

Megan

Megan resides in Plano and is a business graduate from UT Austin. Moving around and living in many spaces in college sparked her interest in home organization and her desire to help others feel happier in their homes. She has previously done work in marketing and fashion styling, and loves bringing these skills to each client’s experience. Megan enjoys watching movies, baking muffins, indoor cycling, and interior design.

Hayli

As a Certified KonMari consultant, Hayli loves seeing how much a client can declutter. When she's not organizing, Hayli enjoys reading (and leading a book club), working out, hosting parties and traveling with her husband. A resident of Plano, Hayli has been helping people take control of their belongings since 2020. She loves working with clients in their homes to create joyful, tidy, organized spaces. The bigger the mess, the better the challenge!  Since childhood, Hayli has observed the connection between a tidy space and a tidy mind. But after reading Marie Kondo's bestselling book "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" in 2015, she knew this method was the best way to teach others.
